I liked Hillary Clinton, but she truly is a ruthless person

She has no shot of winning the nomination, yet she is doing her best to prevent Obama from prevailing in November. I can't see a logical reason for her to stay in the race. She's delaying the party from unitying and preparing to take on John McCain. I still feel Obama has the upperhand against McCain, but he could use all the time he can get. The Clintons should be ashamed of themselves. How can she claim to be for the people when her selfishness is hurting the people.

GOTV EFFORTS

We are kicking ass here in North Central PA. We've been holding Obama organizing meetings, phone banks, & canvasses. On Thursday, March 20th we had an organizing meeting where 35 people showed up. Today, in towns all over North Central PA people came together & canvassed their communities, knocking on the doors of Independent voters to get those who support Obama to switch to Democrat so they can vote in the PA primary. We had numerous phone-banking teams making calls over the past week. ...

Today, Feb 27, 2008 William F. Buckley passed away at the age of 82. He was one of the founders of the modern conservative movement representing AUTHENTIC Republican conservatism represented by the likes of Barry Goldwater & Ron Paul. He was a unique figure in that he was indeed a true conservative yet an intellectual of the highest standard. His political nemisis was Gore Vidal yet Vidal was known to say he had the deepest respect for Buckley.

Obama is really a moderate indistinguishable from Clinton or McCain. He wants to keep troops in Iraq for "just in case" reasons. He just says that he wants to end the war. He isn't for genuine universal health care like Canada & France has. He just calls it universal. He says he is for change. Change what? The only thing he has changed is the way the Democratic Party could win elections. In effect he has changed the way the Dem Party lies to win votes. Wake the fuck up people! The ...

So when does Obama plan on ending the war in Iraq? Until a few days ago he claimed that he would end it within 16-18months of becoming president. But in a speech in Texas on Tuesday he said something different. Check out the article.

http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080303/hayden

Obama has never trailed in the race.

I saw on the news that Hillary has taken 5 million of her own money to add to her campaign. Obama is toasting everyone in campaign donations. If he can maintain the lead in money, it could make things very difficult for her.

I read before that the Clintons are only worth 10 million.

MACON, Ga. – Senator Edward M. Kennedy intends to endorse the presidential candidacy of Senator Barack Obama during a rally on Monday in Washington.

The Kennedy endorsement has been underway for days, even before the outcome of the South Carolina primary. Mr. Kennedy told his decision to Mr. Obama on Thursday.

Of all the endorsements in the Democratic Party, Mr. Kennedy’s is viewed as the most weighty. He had vowed to stay out of the presidential nominating fight, but as the contest expands ...

But there were those who doubted this country’s desire for something new " who said Iowa was a fluke not to be repeated again.

Well, tonight, the cynics who believed that what began in the snows of ...

A President Like My Father

By CAROLINE KENNEDY

OVER the years, I’ve been deeply moved by the people who’ve told me they wished they could feel inspired and hopeful about America the way people did when my father was president. This sense is even more profound today. That is why I am supporting a presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama.

My reasons are patriotic, political and personal, and the three are intertwined. All my life, people have told me that my ...

Kucinich

I think its disgusting that Dennis Kucinich was barred by NBC from participating in the Nevada debates. Although he's not a "viable" candidate he is still a Democrat who is still running. How can the DNC stand by & allow this to happen? I support Kucinich in my heart but I know he can't win. I wish he would run a real campaign. Per request by many of my close & personal friends who tell me that I'm wasting my vote with candidates like Kucinich, I am going to support & vote ...

First U.S. presidential election

On this day in 1789, America's first presidential election is held. Voters cast ballots to choose state electors; only white men who owned property were allowed to vote. As expected, George Washington won the election and was sworn into office on April 30, 1789.

As it did in 1789, the United States still uses the Electoral College system, established by the U.S. Constitution, which today gives all American citizens over the age of 18 the right to vote ...

Morse demonstrates telegraph

On this day in 1838, Samuel Morse's telegraph system is demonstrated for the first time at the Speedwell Iron Works in Morristown, New Jersey. The telegraph, a device which used electric impulses to transmit encoded messages over a wire, would eventually revolutionize long-distance communication, reaching the height of its popularity in the 1920s and 1930s.

Samuel Finley Breese Morse was born April 27, 1791, in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
